Much better weather today with sunshine and lighter winds.  A 64.7km task straight race to goal was called.  Conditions were light at first and pilots weren't in a hurry to take off.  Mark Watts and Chris Harland led the way off of the hill and climbed out.  The rest of the pilots started to follow, with most getting up and away.  Out on the course conditions were fairly weak, and pilots had to change down a gear.

The task was won by Steve Purdie with 54km followed by Chris Harland and Bruce Goldmith.
